The Mobile Medical Clinic for People Experiencing Homelessness was established as an initiative of St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Work. For many years, the University has combined education with service to those most in need, and this project is a direct response to the urgent healthcare needs of people living on the streets.

Building on a long tradition of combining professional healthcare with social compassion, the project was founded with the goal of bringing medical care directly to people experiencing homelessness—reaching them where they are rather than expecting them to seek help on their own.

By delivering healthcare services directly in the field, the Mobile Medical Clinic helps overcome barriers that often prevent vulnerable individuals from accessing medical treatment, ensuring that care is available to those who need it most.

The Mobile Medical Clinic is a specially equipped vehicle that enables doctors and healthcare professionals to provide basic medical care directly to people experiencing homelessness throughout Bratislava.

Its mobility allows us to reach individuals who would otherwise have little or no access to healthcare services. By bringing medical assistance directly to the streets, the clinic helps overcome barriers such as lack of transportation, financial hardship, social exclusion, and distrust of traditional healthcare institutions.

The Mobile Medical Clinic ensures that vulnerable individuals receive timely medical attention, preventive care, and professional support, improving both their health and quality of life while helping to prevent more serious health complications.

People experiencing homelessness often suffer from untreated illnesses, infections, and injuries that can worsen significantly without professional medical care. Our goal is to reduce barriers to healthcare access and provide the support that is essential for their health, well-being, and survival.

Through the Mobile Medical Clinic, we offer:

At the same time, it serves as a practical training environment for students of St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Work, providing them with valuable experience that combines professional expertise with compassionate service to those in need.

The Mobile Medical Clinic is funded through the University's resources, grants, and charitable donations, enabling healthcare services to remain free of charge and accessible to everyone who needs them.
